Well, my apologies for missing a post last week. Between the drive to and from Sasquan, the smoke-filled air turning my lungs into their personal breeding ground for lung cancer, and returning to the day job with a large inbox full of unread emails, I was unable to get to a post. That being said, I was still able to get a lot done on the writing front.
Sands2 (Beyond the Forbiddence) is now at 60,800 words, which is over the halfway mark. I am really getting into some of the characters and it has been fun exploring the plot and fleshing out some world elements which had been barely skeletonized in Book 1. For those of you who missed it, I posted an except from the current draft featuring the first glimpse of the Orinai on my Facebook Author page. (Which you must all go “like” now or else you will be sentenced to eternal tickles at the mercy of my invisible pet dragon).
For those wanting a physical copy of Sands, you can order one on Amazon here. It says “temporarily out of stock,” but will be shipped as soon as Amazon has the inventory completed (hopefully this week).
If you’re in the neighborhood (Midway, UT), come on out to the Swiss Days Festival and see me on Saturday, September 5th from 7:30am – 1:45pm. I will most likely be there until 1:45pm, but my current designated time slot is the earlier timeframe. I’ll keep you updated. You can get print copies of Sands there and I will even sign them for you and give you free swag to go along with it. Just look for my purple shirt.
Anyway, that’s all for now. May death’s shadow pass over you all. Always.
